Ready for Anything by Keiko Kasza

Ready for Anything
by Keiko Kasza

Optimistic Duck and his pessimistic friend Raccoon plan a picnic. Duck can't imagine anything going wrong on their picnic and Raccoon has many ideas!

Duck tries to convince Raccoon that they will have fun at their picnic in spite of his Raccoon's fears......

"Well, I've been thinking," said Raccoon. "What if we are attacked by killer bees?"

"Yeah, said Raccoon. And what if they chase us, you know, and we fall into a river?"

..."What if some lovely butterflies pass by instead of bees?"

"And what if we have the best picnic ever, roasting marshmallows?"

"Wow!" said Raccoon. "Your what-ifs are wonderful, Duck."

They finally go on their picnic..........

Duck learns that he has forgotten something very important..... Racoon rises to the occasion.... and saves the day as he says...

"I'M READY FOR ANYTHING!"

You will have to read the story to learn what Duck forgot..... and how Raccoon saved the day!

I enjoyed reading this story. It is a good story for children who are anxious little worriers.... It is a good example of the importance of having a positive attitude. Many adults would do well to read this story as well.

Nice enjoyable story. Great for younger children! Great discussion book!

Until the next time!

Happy reading!

A children's book a day, keeps the scary monster away!
