A children's book a day, keeps the scary monster away. I am a Librarian and created this blog to share my love of children's books with the rest of the world. I will include my comments on children's books that I love and have shared with others.
I have shared many of these books with my students during storytime when I was the Librarian at the St. Benedict the Moor K to 8 school.

Peek a Moo by Marie Torres Cimarusti and Illustrated by Stephanie Peterson
Peek a Moo
by Marie Torres Cimarusti
Illustrated by Stephanie Peterson
This Peek-a-Moo book was fun to read. My students love playing peek-a-boo so this was quite a treat for them. They guessed each animal and made the different sounds.
The book begins with "An oink, a moo, a cock-a-doodle-doo. Who's in the barnyard playing peek-a-boo?"
"Guess who? Peek-a-"
then you open the oversized flap and it is...
"Moo! says the cow."
Each page contains a "Guess Who? Peek-a-"
and you open the flap and guess who the type of the animal.
The book ends with, Guess who? What do you say? and on the last page...
There is a baby with his hands covering his face to "Peek-a-"
Scroll down... and the answer is...........
You will have to read the book to see the answer.
There are several different animals in this book including cow, pig, mouse, owl, rooster, etc.
