What time is it????????????

It's that time again...

Time for the New York Times list of Graphic Books for the week of June 5, 2010.

Twilight by Stephenie Meyers is still number one for the Hardcover books. However there are some new comers to several lists including: Batman the streets of Gotham, Volume I by Paul Dini and Dustin Nguyen and Scalped, Volume 6, by Jason Aaron and R.M. Guer.

There is a new number one Manga book that debuted this week. It is NEGIMA! MAGISTER NEGI MAGI, VOL. 26, by Ken Akamatsu.



Dance in the Vampire Bund, Volume 7by Nozomu Tamaki is another newcomer to the list.

1TWILIGHT: THE GRAPHIC NOVEL, VOL. 1, by Stephenie Meyer and Young C. Kim. (Yen Press, $19.99.) The comic adaptation of the ever-popular vampire series.11
2THE INVINCIBLE IRON MAN, VOL. 1, by Matt Fraction and Salvador Larroca. (Marvel Entertainment, $39.99.) Iron Man faces off against Ezekiel Stane and Norman Osborn in this deluxe collection of the on-going series.8

4FLASH: REBIRTH, by Geoff Johns and Ethan Van Sciver. (DC Comics, $19.99.) Barry Allen, the Silver Age Flash, is back from the dead. He must adjust to his return and what he learns about the Speed Force to which all the super-speedsters are linked.4
5BATMAN AND ROBIN, VOL. 1, by Grant Morrison, Frank Quitely and Philip Tan. (DC Comics, $24.99.) After Batman’s demise, Dick Grayson, the first Robin, takes on the mantle of the Bat. His costumed partner is Damien, the son of Bruce Wayne. Causing them grief? Jason Todd, the second Robin.7
6THE WALKING DEAD: BOOK 5, by Robert Kirkman and Charlie Adlard. (Image Comics, $34.99.) This hardcover edition of the zombie survival tale collects issues 49-60 in which the group of survivors start their dangerous trek to Washington.3
7WILSON, by Daniel Clowes. (Drawn & Quarterly, $21.95.) "Meet Wilson, an opinionated middle-aged loner who loves his dog and quite possibly no one else."4
8BATMAN: THE KILLING JOKE, by Alan Moore and Brian Bolland. (DC Comics, $17.99.) This critically acclaimed story from 1988 offers a possible origin for the Joker.64
9CAPTAIN AMERICA: REBORN, by Ed Brubaker and Bryan Hitch. (Marvel Entertainment, $24.99.) Everyone knew the Sentinel of Liberty could not stay dead forever. This is the story of his rebirth.6
10BATMAN: THE STREETS OF GOTHAM, VOL. 1, by Paul Dini and Dustin Nguyen. (DC Comics, $19.99.) Commissioner Gordon must learn to work with the new Batman (Dick Grayson) to bring down the arsonist known as Firefly.1

5SCALPED, VOL. 6, by Jason Aaron and R.M. Guera. (Vertigo, $14.99.) This is the latest volume about life and death on an Indian reservation. In this installment, Red Crow, the corrupt casino leader, commits a murder in front of witnesses, giving the F.B.I. hope of putting him away.1
6SCOTT PILGRIM VS. THE WORLD, by Bryan Lee O'Malley. (Oni Press, $11.95.) Scott Pilgrim faces off against the second of Ramona’s evil ex-boyfriends. What will Knives Chau think? Aren’t THEY dating?8

9V FOR VENDETTA, by Alan Moore and David Lloyd. (DC Comics, $19.99.) In a dystopian future, an anarchist sets out to topple the oppressive and totalitarian government of the United Kingdom.58
10SCOTT PILGRIM: PRECIOUS LITTLE LIFE, by Bryan O''Malley. (Oni Press, $11.95.) Meet Scott Pilgrim, twentysomething slacker, member of the band Sex Bob-Omb and would-be suitor of Ramona Flowers.12
