5DARK TOWER: THE FALL OF GILEAD, by Robin Furth and Peter David. (Marvel Entertainment, $24.99.) This comic series explores the world set forth by Stephen King’s "Dark Tower" novels. Has Roland committed the worst crime of all?12
6HALO: HELLJUMPER, by Peter David and Eric Nguyen. (Marvel Entertainment, $24.99.) Something deadly is transpiring on the colony planet Ariel and it’s up to the elite soldiers known as "Helljumpers" to find out what.6
7BATMAN: THE KILLING JOKE, by Alan Moore and Brian Bolland. (DC Comics, $17.99.) This critically acclaimed story from 1988 offers a possible origin for the Joker.59
8THE BOOK OF GENESIS: ILLUSTRATED, by R. Crumb. (W.W. Norton & Co., $24.95.) The legendary artist tackles the first book of the Bible.28
9GOTHAM CITY SIRENS, VOL. 1, by Paul Dini and Dustin Nguyen. (DC Comics, $15.99.) Three of Batman’s femme fatales (Harley Quinn, Poison Ivy and Catwoman) team-up for nefarious deeds.1
10WOLVERINE: OLD MAN LOGAN, by Mark Millar and Steve McNiven. (Marvel Entertainment, $34.99.) In a future world where the villains are triumphant, Wolverine has left heroics behind to care for his family. If only Hawkeye and the Hulk gang would accept that.21

3WATCHMEN, by Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons. (DC Comics, $19.99.) This epic tale from 1986 signaled a new maturity in comic books.61
4THE WALKING DEAD, VOL. 1, by Robert Kirkman and Tony Moore. (Image Comics, $14.99.) The gripping story of the human survivors in a world overrun by zombies begins.25
5THE WALKING DEAD, VOL. 11, by Robert Kirkman and Charlie Adlard. (Image Comics, $14.99.) The road to Washington is filled with many dangers for Rick and his band of refugees. To say anything more will ruin the story.16
6SCOTT PILGRIM: GETS IT TOGETHER, by Bryan Lee O'Malley. (Oni Press, $11.95.) In this fourth volume of the series, Scott gets a job (Best. Dishwasher. Ever) and battles Roxie the ninja, another of Ramona’s evil exes.2
7DEADPOOL: SUICIDE KINGS, by Mike Benson, Carlo Barbieri and Sean Crystal. (Marvel Entertainment, $19.99.) The mercenary with the mouth has been framed. Now he must avoid the Punisher, Daredevil and Spider-Man on his quest to be cleared.1
