Carlo and the Really Nice Librarian
by Jessica Spanyol
Carlo the giraffe loves the new library. There are tons of books, colorful posters, and even a chair with wheels! But he's a little afraid of the librarian, Mrs. Chinca, with her sharp teeth and claws-until he finds out how much she LOVES books.
What a delightful colorful children's book. The story is easy to follow and the pictures are warm and friendly! The colors are bright and engaging. I thought this book was quite clever and creative.. What a great story to have an alligator as a librarian (Mrs. Chinca), a little giraffe (Carlo), father giraffe (dad) and his cat (Crackers) all in a library!
This is such a wonderful children's book to share with very young students during story time. My students loved this story and didn't want it to end. I didnt' want it to end either!

A children's book a day, keeps the scary monster away!
