I'LL SAVE YOU BOBO!!!!!!!!!!!

by

Eileen & Marc Rosenthal

Willy wants to write a storybook starring Bobo—and act out revenge fantasies on Earl—but Earl keeps wrecking the story (hence the desire to act out revenge fantasies!). Quit it, Earl…and stop stealing Bobo!

But sometimes it only takes a small thing to realize that even sworn enemies have something in common.

I absolutely loved this book!

This book is so well written. I giggled the whole time that I read this book. I just couldn't put this book down.

Willy, Bobo, and Earl.... They will keep wanting more...

I recommend this entertaining book to all libraries... home, public, private, school.

Happy reading..............

Before There Was Mozart: The Story of Joseph Boulogne, Chevalier de Saint-George

Before There Was Mozart: The Story of Joseph Boulogne, Chevalier de Saint-George by Lesa Cline-Ransome and Illustrated by James E. Ransome

JOSEPH BOULOGNE, LOVED MUSIC: the singing of birds, the beat of drums, the peal of church bells -- and most of all, the the soaring notes of his violin. But as the son of a white plantation owner and a black slave, newly arrived in France from the West Indies, what chance did Joseph have for success with his music? Here is the true story of an extraordinary boy who overcame the prejudices of his peers to become one of the finest classical musicians in all of Europe.

 ***************************************************************

This lovely true story of Joseph Boulogne will bring a smile to your face! This incredible story tells the story of the finest classical musician in 18th century France through dynamically wonderful words and pictures!

We are taken on a wonderful trip through the extraordinary life of Joseph Boulogne from his birth in the West Indies to his move to France and overcoming racism to be the best classical musician in France in the 18th century and finally performing for the King and Queen of France! This beautifully written, illustrated, and designed book is a gem! I

As a classical music and history lover, I couldn't put this book down. I have been recommending to many people. Who read the book and loved it as well. The pictures are so realistic that you feel like you are there. There is an "Author's Note" at the end that you must read!

This book is a must have for all school, public, private, and home libraries! I recommend this picture book for students and adults young and old who love history, music, and a well done book! You won't be disappointed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 Until the next time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If You Plant a Seed - Words and Paintings by Kadir Nelson

If You Plant a Seed

Words and Paintings by Kadir Nelson

If you plant a carrot seed.. a carrot will grow. If you plant a cabbage seed of kindness ... or selfishness?

Once in a while there is a book that is so well written and the pictures are so spectacular that you just can't put it down... You find yourself looking at it over and over and over again... Such is the case for Kadir Nelson's new book "If You Plant a Seed!" In this delightfully created book, a rabbit and bunny plant seeds and nurture them and they grow... before they know it... As they are enjoying the plush rich fruits of their labor... Guess who come to eat?

They have a host of birds fly in to share their newly grown treats.....

Guess what happens?

You will have to read the book for the rest of the story....

I have shared this book with so many adults and children...

It just brings a wide smile to my face every time that I pick up the book!

The pictures are so realistic that you feel like you are there sharing in the activities... whether good or bad...You know immediately what emotion each animal is conveying.

Nelson's pictures are so breathtakingly gorgeous, and rich!!!!!! The details for each animal are very  accurate and awe-inspiring! I was so shocked and mesmerized by the beauty of this book that I wanted more and so I went to his web site and have been sharing the link to others ever since.

This book is a must read for anyone who loves children's books. This is one of the best of the bunch that I have ever read.

I highly recommend this book to all homes, school, public, private, and day care libraries! You won't be disappointed. This book will bring a smile to everyone's face... young and old alike!!!!!!!!!!

Check out Kadir Nelson's  personal web site... His paintings will take your breath away!!!!!! Here's the link:
