If It's Snowy and You Know It. Clap Your Paws!
by Kim Norman and Illustrated by Liza Woodruff
"On a wintry day, some spirited pals have a ton of frosty fun while
slipping, sliding, and tumbling. But can they go with the flow when their wild adventure drifts in a surprising direction?"

This book is a funny wintery take on the song "If You're Happy and You Know It!"
The animals start of with lots of exciting and energizing wintery activities but then later in the book they slow down and "go inside.."
If it's wintry and you're weary, go inside.
Paint a picture of the icy sports you tried.
If it's wintry and you're weary,
read a book that's warm and cheery.
If it's wintry and you're weary...
go inside.
The animals prepare for bed...
"If it's sleeting and you're sleepy, climb in bed.
Tuck your tails and paws and fins beneath the spread.
If it's sleeting and you're sleepy.
snuggle up with something sheepy.
There's a world of wild adventures..."
You'll have to read the book for the rest of the sentence...
Check out how beautifully the illustrator depicts the shadows for the animals...
I absolutely loved this delightfully written book! I have recommended it to several family members, friends, co-workers, neighbors, and library patrons.
This book makes you jump for joy. I find myself humming the rhyming words all day long. Children and their adults will LOVE this book and want to read it over and over again.
The pictures, words, and colors are so happy, friendly and well done!
The animals have so much fun that you wish that you were there too.
This is one of the most beautifully creatively done children's books that I have seen in a long time. The animals all have realistic faces.
"If it's snow and you know, clap your paws.
You can tumble on the tundra, just because.
If it's snowy and you know it,
roll a snowball and throw it.
If it's snowy and you know it...
... clap your paws!"
I love the rhymes followed by the activity to do... such as...
clap your paws, taste a flake, grab your skis, sculpt a friend, build a fort, blow a kiss, share a meal, soak your toes, go inside... You will have to read the book for the rest...
I highly recommend this book for children of all ages. All public, home, school libraries... day care centers... any where there are children wanting to see and hear a wonderful happy story with animals..::))
If you read this book, drop us a line! Check out the hats on the animal friends...::))
Until the next time!
Happy Reading!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
A children's book a day, keeps the scary monster away!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
