A Friend for Lakota

A Friend for Lakota: The Incredible True Story of a Wolf Who Braved Bullying

Jim and Jamie Dutcher

“Let out a howl for Lakota, a young wolf pup who must learn how to be brave in the face of bullying. Time and kind Lakota lives with his pack – his family – in the Sawtooth Mountains of Idaho, U.S.A. The wolves’ days are filled with games, meals, and fun. But soon, as the pack members grow older, Lakota is picked on almost every day by the other wolves.”

“Spring blooms over the Sawtooth Mountains of Idaho. Wildflowers splash patches of bright colors across the meadows. And a young wolf pup, Lakota, rolls in the fresh green grass.”

You’ll have to read this delightful heart-warming true story to learn the story of how Lakota overcame bullying from the other wolves in his pack.

I absolutely loved this book. The story is so warm and encouraging for children of all ages and adults! I couldn’t put this book down.

There are so many reasons why I highly recommend this magnificent book: the breathtakingly beautiful photos that are wonderful and engaging; rich vibrant colors; clear, concise, and easy-to-read text; and a story that will make not only animal lovers but children, teens, and adults of all ages.

At the end of the book there is additional information on Lakota and wolves: a map of the area of Lakota’s home and where wolves live in North America; All about Lakota and gray wolves; a Fun Fact;  A Note from the authors; and Want to learn more about wolves; Let’s Stop Bullying; and Credits.

I highly recommend this book for all animal lovers young and old; children, teens, young adults, and adults in any home, school, public, private, library.

This book is a great introduction to bullying for young students.

I wish that the authors would create a Lakota calendar with a different picture each month from a small pup to an adult male gray wolf.

Kudos to National Geographic for “A Friend for Lakota: The Incredible True Story of a Wolf Who Braved Bullying!” What a wonderfully rich story!

Until the next time …

Buddy and the Bunnies In: Don't Play With Your Food by Bob Shea

Buddy and Bunnies in Don't Play With Your Food: An Official Bob Shea Story

"Rahhhhhhhh!  Buddy's a monster, and he's hungry! Time for all cute little bunnies to hop into his mouth. But the bunnies have other plans ... like baking cupcakes, going for a swim,  playing at the carnival, and starting a buddy fan club. He'll just have to eat them tomorrow.
Maybe. "
I absolutely loved the books! What a treat! I laughed from the beginning to the end. The colors, the story, the pictures are spectacularly beautiful and funny! What a creative book!

Bob Shea strikes again with this most delightful book! Buddy and his bunnies are hilarious! This fun loving creatively written and designed book will bring  smile to your face whether you are a smile child or adult! This book is so much fun that you won't put it down!!!!!!!

You'll have to read this book to determine if Buddy eats the bunnies or if they outsmart him and he has to find a meal elsewhere,,::))

I recommend this book for all public, school, home, and private libraries.

Until the next time!!
