Fun... Cute... & Cuddly... Children's Books

I came across the following children's books and had to include them in this blog. Let us know if you have any of these!

Under the Snow
Written by Melissa Stewart and Illustrated by Constance R. Bergum

When snow falls, we love to sled and skate and have snowball fights. But at the end of the day, we go home where it is warm and safe. What about all those animals out there in the forests and fields? What do they do when snow blankets the ground?

Born in the Wild: Baby Mammals and Their Parents
by Lita Judge

What do grizzly bear cubs eat? Where do baby raccoons sleep? And how does a baby otter learn to swim?

Every baby mammal, from a tiny harvest mouse "pinky" to a fierce lion cub, needs food, shelter, love, and a family. Filled with illustrations of some of the most adorable babies in the kingdom, this awww-inspiring book looks at the traits that all baby mammals share and proves that, even though they're born in the wild, they're not so very different from us, after all!
This book brought such a smile to my face. It was just lovely! I loved how they showed the different animals and how they are loved and protected by their parents..::))

Happy Saint Patricks Day

HAPPY SAINT PATRICK'S DAY!!!!

Happy Saint Patrick's Day - What are you reading??????????????????

******************************************************

There are two books that I want to share with you on this Saint Patrick's Day! May the luck of the Irish be with you all.

The Irish Cinderlad by Shirley Climo and Illustrated by Loretta Krupinski

In Ireland in the old times, there lived a lad named Becan. Although the rest of him was small, Becan's feed were big enough to splash a puddle dry. Yet his worries were few enough until his wicked stepmother and step sisters move in and banish Becan to the fields.
With the help of a magical bull, Becan defeats a giant, slays a dragon, and rescues a princess. But before the princess can thank him, Becan disappears leaving only one of his enormous boots behind. The princess scours the Irish countryside looking for the owner of the gigantic boot. Can you guess what happens next?

This delightfully unusual twist on the traditional Cinderella story will grab and keep your attention through gorgeous drawings and great story telling from Climo. This exciting book is fun to read for Saint Patrick's Day!

THE LEPRECHAUN in the Basement by KATHY TUCKER and Illustrations by JOHN SANDFORD

This Saint Patricks' Day, Michael McKeever doesn't feel like celebrating. His baseball shoes are falling apart, and his dad is out of work. How can he ask his folks for new shoes? As he heads into the basement on an errand, Michael hears someone singing. It's O'leary the leprechaun, sitting next to his pot of gold.

This engaging story is fun to read... The pictures are gorgeously colorful! What a great heart warming story that brought a huge smile to my face.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading both of these delightful Saint Patrick's Day books!

I recommend both of these books for your school, home, public, or private libraries! You won't be disappointed.
